ATM over MPLS AToM

AToM is known as ATM over MPLS.

No doubt MPLS is the latest technology but still ATM is widely used in the market and there are still customers using IPBX and dedicated leased line services via ATM.

MPLS has interoperability phenomenon which helps carry ATM traffic over MPLS cloud.

AAL5 layer is used and SDV, PVC, SVC are the circuit type and protocols.

Login procedure for ATM CBX500

At the back side you can have a  view of CBX , serial port is given for local Login

Following is the cable picture:

  

Connect Db connector to ATM port and USB serial to USB connector accordingly

Open hyperterminal

Create connection

Select the Com port

Select 19200 bits per second

  

There you go.. you will be logged in

* If you dont see anything press ctrl + break

Cable Details. One End DB9 , other End is DB 25

Get one 9 Pin female connector

Get one 25 pin female connector 

Sold the pins as given configuration using CAT 5 or CAT 6 ethernet cable
